CCL Preview: Dynamo look to control Group 3 vs. FAS

The Houston Dynamo continue their 2012-13 CONCACAF Champions League campaign on Thursday at BBVA Compass Stadium with the return leg against CD FAS. The Dynamo defeated FAS 3-1 in the first meeting between the two clubs on August 22. Brian Ching, Cam Weaver and Je-Vaughn Watson provided the goals for Houston in San Salvador. The Dynamo are currently tied with CD Olimpia for first place in Group 3, but would move into sole possession of first with a win or a draw, Thursday night. FAS are currently in last place, having lost their first two matches to Houston and Olimpia.

  • The Dynamo took an early lead off a header from Brian Ching in the 12th minute. Cam Weaver doubled Houston's lead when he out-jumped a defender to head home a cross from Kofi Sarkodie. Je-Vaughn Watson sealed the game with a header off a Nathan Sturgis corner kick in the 60th minute. Jonathan Aguila pulled one back for Aguila in the 64th minute.
