HOUSTON DYNAMO vs. SEATTLE SOUNDERS
BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston
October 18, 2015 (WEEK 33, MLS Game #329)
5 p.m. ET (ESPN/ESPN Deportes)

A crucial match in the postseason ambitions for both teams is ahead when the Houston Dynamo entertain Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday afternoon at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Dynamo must win if they are to keep alive their playoff dreams, coming off a 4-1 loss to FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium in their last match. Sounders FC can guarantee a spot in the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs with a victory, coming off a dramatic 1-1 draw with the LA Galaxy at CenturyLink Field in their last game.

  • The Dynamo saw their two-game winning streak come to a crashing end last time out, falling 4-1 to FC Dallas on Oct. 3 at Toyota Stadium.
  • Sounders FC extended their undefeated streak to six games with a second consecutive draw in dramatic circumstances, Chad Barrett scoring the equalizer well into second-half stoppage time for a 1-1 draw with the LA Galaxy on Oct. 4 at CenturyLink Field.
  • The teams are meeting for the second time this season. Obafemi Martins scored the game’s lone goal to lead Sounders FC to victory April 4 at CenturyLink Field. Sounders FC have won the last two meetings between the teams.
  • Sounders FC have never lost to the Dynamo in Houston. In five league meetings all-time, Sounders FC have won four, with one draw, outscoring Houston 9-2. Sounders FC also won a U.S. Open Cup match at home vs. Houston; the teams played a scoreless draw in the 2009 MLS Cup Playoffs.
