A critical contest to the playoff ambitions of both teams is on deck when the New England Revolution play host to Sporting Kansas City on Saturday evening at Gillette Stadium. The Revolution come into the game now four points below the red line in the Eastern Conference, their three-game winning run put to an end in a 2-0 loss at Columbus Crew SC last weekend. Sporting are now just two points ahead of the red line, sitting in fifth place in the Western Conference after a 2-1 win at the San Jose Earthquakes last weekend.

  • The Revolution saw their three-game winning streak – their longest of the season – put to an end in a 2-0 loss at Columbus Crew SC on Sunday evening at Mapfre Stadium.
