Longtime foes D.C. United and the New England Revolution renew their rivalry when the Eastern Conference foes square off at Audi Field Friday night.

Currently second in the Eastern Conference, D.C. United (8-5-7) are looking to rebound from a 2-0 loss to FC Dallas on July 4. Santiago Mosquera opened the scoring in the 6th minute and Dominique Badji tacked on a second goal in the 65th minute. The Black-and-Red ended the match with 10 men after Luciano Acosta was sent off 15 minutes after entering as a second-half substitute.

The Revolution (6-8-5) are just below the playoff line in the Eastern Conference after a 2-1 win over the Colorado Rapids extended an unbeaten streak to seven games on July 4. Teal Bunbury put the visitors in front in the 8th minute before Juan Fernando Caicedo made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute. Diego Rubio pulled the Rapids to within a goal in the 71st minute in a match that took nearly six hours to complete due to several weather-related delays.

The teams played to a 1-1 draw at Gillette Stadium on May 25.
